Internet in China

The internet in China works much in the same was as it does in most Western countries. Western computers with LAN ports or wireless capability should have no trouble with connectivity in China. The only thing to consider is availability. Internet, whether hard wire or wireless, should be available in any big city. Most living spaces have internet capability and wireless routers can be purchased in a variety of stores and electronic markets. The first tier cities (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou) should have many western style cafes, restaurants and bars that have wireless access for their customers.
